Reminders and Notifications from Ten Percent Happier

You can use your cell phone or tablet to build a healthy habit by setting up meditation reminders. Here's how to turn that feature on or off and set it to a time that works well for you.

On both Android and Apple devices there are two places you use to control the reminders you get from the Ten Percent Happier app. The first is in the settings of Ten Percent Happier and the second's in the phone's native settings.

Troubleshooting: If you've been inactive on the Ten Percent Happier app for 10 consecutive days we stop sending reminders. Please complete a meditation (any length) and they'll start up again.

Apple Devices 

  • In the Ten Percent Happier app, tap the Profile icon in the upper, left corner.
  • Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the upper, right corner.
  • Turn on the toggle to enable reminders.
  • The default time is 7:00 a.m. To choose a different time, tap the word Change.
  • Use the scroll bar to choose when you'd like to get your reminder each day then tap save.

Android Devices 

  • In the Ten Percent Happier app, tap the Profile icon in the upper, right corner.
  • Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the upper, right corner.
  • Tap Notifications.
  • Turn on the toggle next to Daily Reminder to enable reminders.
  • If you want your phone to pause notifications from other apps while you're meditating, you can turn on the Do Not Disturb While Meditating button too!

The app defaults to 7:00 a.m. reminders. If you want your reminder to come at a different time:

  • Tap Schedule.

You'll see the following screen to set the time you'd like to get your notification. Use the scroll bar to choose when you'd like to get your reminder each day then tap save.

Both Android and Apple phones also have native Notification settings. If those are turned off for Ten Percent Happier you won't get your reminders.
