Use the Apple Health App to Add Minutes to Your Meditation History

You can use the Health app on your iPhone or iPad to manually add meditation minutes you've done outside the app to your Ten Percent Happier history. This is often used if you've been a meditation retreat, you meditated when you didn't have cellular or WiFi service, or the app didn't correctly register a meditation.


Use the Health App to Add Meditation Minutes to Your Streak

First, make sure Ten Percent Happier is sharing data with the Health app using the instructions in our Help Center article Enable Mindful Minutes With the Apple Health App on iPhone and iPad.


Once you have the Ten Percent Happier app and your Apple Health app fully connected you can add mindful minutes to your Health app as follows:

  • Open the Heath app. 
  • Tap Browse.
  • Tap Mindfulness (if running iOS 16 or below) or Mental Wellbeing (if running iOS 17 or above).
  • Tap Mindful Minutes.
  • Tap Add Data in the upper, right corner.
  • Set the date and time you meditated. Be careful not to log a multi-day meditation.
  • Tap Add in the upper right corner.

If you accidentally add an incorrect meditation time or date in the Health app, you can delete it from the Health app:

  • Open the Health app.
  • Navigate to the bottom of the Mindful Minutes screen.
  • Tap Show All Data.
  • Tap Edit in the top, right corner of the screen.
  • Tap the red circle to the left of the meditation you want to delete.
  • Confirm by tapping the Delete button that pops up to the right of the session.

To delete the same mindful session from your Ten Percent Happier History:

  • Make sure your Ten Percent Happier app is updated to app version 6.30.0 or higher.
  • Open your Profile in the Ten Percent Happier app by tapping the Profile icon in the upper, left corner of the screen.
  • Scroll down to tap on your History.
  • Swipe left on the session you'd like to delete and confirm by tapping Delete.

This will remove the session from your Ten Percent Happier History.


To delete a mindful session originating in the Ten Percent Happier app from both your Ten Percent Happier History and your Health app:

  • Make sure your Ten Percent Happier app is updated to app version 6.30.0 or higher.
  • Tap the Profile icon in the upper, left corner of the screen.
  • Scroll down.
  • Tap History.
  • Swipe left on the session you'd like to delete.
  • Confirm by tapping Delete.

This will remove the session from your Ten Percent Happier History as well as from the Health app (if you enabled both read and write permissions when connecting to Apple Health).
